The Palazzo Vecchio is a fortified palace that was built for the wealthy
Medici family in Florence Italy (Firenza). The palace was was competed in 1322 and
includes a tall bell tower used to
notify residents of community events. A museum is now located in the palace.
Plazzo Vecchio is located on the
Piazza della Signoria, which many would consider to be the heart of Florence.
A replica of Michelangelo's David stands in front of the palace
along with a famous fountain called the
Fontana di Nettuno. The Loggia dei
Lanzi is located by the Palazzo Vecchio and the
Uffizi Gallery is right next door.
