The Palazzo Vecchio is a fortified palace that was built for the wealthy Medici family in Florence Italy (Firenza). The palace was was competed in 1322 and includes a tall bell tower used to notify residents of community events.  A museum is now located in the palace.

Plazzo Vecchio is located on the Piazza della Signoria, which many would consider to be the heart of Florence.  A replica of Michelangelo's David stands in front of the palace along with a famous fountain called the Fontana di Nettuno.  The Loggia dei Lanzi is located by the Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery is right next door.
