The Piazza della Signoria (Signoria Square) has been the heart of Florence for centuries. Beautiful old buildings, fascinating sculptures and a rich history each contribute to making this Florentine square a magnet for tourists and the center of the Signoria District.

The buildings seen in the photograph below are (from left to right): the Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery and the Loggia dei Lanzi. Famous statues and fountains on the piazza include the Fontana de Nettuno, and Perseus be Cellini.
